20-Year-Old Tent

I sent in a 20 year old tent from The North Face for repair this fall. The zippers weren’t working any longer, there were a couple of tears, and the poles needed some repair work. I got the tent back and it looks GREAT! Thank you and looking forward to another 20 years use from it!

Tent Zipper Repair

I brought my tent with a broken zipper to Robert and he did a great job. Repair looks as good as new and took less than one day. Robert’s fee was extremely reasonable and he saved me from having to purchase a new tent. Thank you!!

Canvas Repair & Reinforcement – 15X15 Wall Tent

After setting up my tent this year ahead of a high mountain camping trip I found an unexpected problem with canvas rot along the bottom edge of two sides of my tent.  This was a major dilemma as I had only a couple months until my trip and no real source for canvas repair in the immediate area (Tacoma/Puyallup).  Through research online I came across Robert’s Outdoor Gear and placed a call.  To my surprise, not only did Robert listen carefully to my issue and need, but he drove a considerable distance to examine the tent   (setup in my yard) to be sure he was prepared for full extent of repair needed.  A few days later I dropped off the tent and was given a two week commitment for completion.  Based on my conversations with Robert I felt comfortable, and went on about my business without giving any more thought to the issue.

I am very pleased to report that I got a call two weeks later to pick up the tent.  When I arrived for pickup, Robert had the tent spread out and reviewed his repairs with me.  In addition to what I considered very high quality work, Robert also found a couple other minor items that weren’t problems I had found yet, and he reinforced them so they wouldn’t be problems in the future. For the work that was done, I felt the price was extremely reasonable, the quality was high, and the service was excellent.

In the end my camping trip went well, my tent mates wouldn’t have even noticed the large scale repairs made without my pointing it out to them, and I know exactly where I am going when I need repairs in the future.   If you want to be comfortable that you are getting what you need done…Robert’s Outdoor Gear is the place to go.

Sincerely,  Mark (Puyallup, WA)

Returning Customer

I’m back after so many years. I used to send tents to REI, but they always ended up here. So glad to have found you again.
